Discoloured/broken teeth before ceramic veneers

Teeth looking good as new after ceramic veneers
A veneer is a very thin shell of porcelain or plastic which is permanently bonded to the front surface of a tooth.
Why is a veneer needed?
Veneers provide a way of improving the appearance of teeth with a minimum of preparation. They can be used for stained, discoloured, chipped or broken teeth, crooked or misaligned teeth, or for closing gaps.
What is the procedure?
One of the main advantages of veneers is that there is not usually a great deal of preparation needed in order to make to the tooth ready to receive the veneer. In some cases there is no preparation at all. However, this varies according to the individual circumstances. Some veneers can be made ‘in house’ on our revolutionary Cerec machine. This technique eliminates the need for temporary restorations and enables us to create superb cosmetic very quickly.
How long will the veneer last?
Although the veneer is only a wafer thin sliver of material, it delivers its great strength and durability from the bond created between it and the underlying tooth.
